Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
